Japanese rose wood and urushi tabako bako sets. The rosewood is Edo Period (early-mid 1800's), the lacquer ones are probably Meiji (late 1800's). They are all in great shape. I have at least two dozen of the rosewood ones and a dozen of the lacquer ones. They are all complete, with the little pot for coal and ashtrays, ehich are made from bamboo. The bamboo is original ! Some have a mark on them. The coal pots are either cream or blue with a turtle pattern design on them. The sets are to be sold by piece or as a lot at a discount.

Onigawara from Edo Period (1800's). Chipped in some places, but with a great character. Old onigawara are hard to find in good shape - Japan is a country of typhoones and when things fly - the fragile kawara get easily damaged. Considering it's age this onigawara is in great shape. The design is also very unusual, different from typical oni. W 16" and H 14".
